I went on a trip with work last year to a small island off Hong Kong. One of the guys there sounded like a Mancunian so, being far from there myself, I enquired as to his origins. It turns out that his Mum lived next door to us, 25 years ago. :shock:

So, from North Manchester to a tiny island in the South China Sea, and I still can't escape me roots..... :roll:


I know it's a coincidence, but it's a good one 'are kid.

When I moved to Wales eight years ago I continued my job as a driving instructor. One of my first pupils turned out to have lived a few miles from me in Hornchurch, moved the same month as I did and when we compared notes I had taught her best friend to drive, the friend had recommended her to me but she had to pass up on it as she was moving to Wales...

She had only happened to book with me because she had seen the car around and took the number from the headboard.

I once got a birthday card from my parents with the exact same design as the one I got from my aunt. We lived in England and she lived in Canada.....
