    Hmm... On a motorbike you can aqauplane quite easily - you have an engine, and can go very very fast!

    Ona bicycle, I dare say that it's impossible. I don't know ANYONE who has been faster than 40mph on a flat on a bike. Bar one guy, who did 160 or something ridiculous, in the desert, following a a sports car (no wind resistance!).

    Tread patterns on tyres are designed to work one way, but they don't have the best results on that way, on all different surfaces, all the time. Frinstance, if you have a MUD specific tyre on, and find it slippy the 'right' way round on rocks, you might find it grips better in the dry the 'wrong' way round. You aren't gonna rip the tread off by doing it (unless you a VERY powerful! :shock: ) so it might be worth a go. It could save you buying another set of tyres!
