I've just ordered some from Merlin and want to know if anyone's got any positive reviews?

Light, fairly stiff, good adjustabilty - good fork for that Trance.

Recons are decent too - the top end Recon is very similar to the Revelation, the former just having a different crown and less options for the springs. (and no adjustable floodgate).

In 2008 the quick release versions of the Rev and Recon had identicle lowers, bushings and seals. 2009 sees some changes, and a major overhaul for 2010.

Cheers although the comparisons to my recons are not exactly music to my ears. I bought it because of the extra travel and light weight. I've got 5 inches at the rear and the 5.5 inches of the Revelation should balance things up better than the current 4 inches, where do chatter on the descents.

Just hope it will be money well spent

I love mine, they're not massively strong but how often do they need to be?

Sounds like you have the 2009 Rev at 140mm of travel. Some Recons are 130mm.

Great forks when set up right. I have the 09 version with the bolt thru maxle. There are 2 different reviews on bikeradar for somereason, 1 is gushing and the other good/average. I can definately recomend them though from personal experience.

Anyone had a funny noise when rebound is set to slow? When mine rebound on the slow setting they make a squelching sound, anyone know if this is a fault?

Normal noise, is the oil being forced through the valves.
