I'm moving to North Wales!
for a few months due to work. I'll be based in llandudno and Bangor.
I used to bike but haven't for a long time so I'll be very much at the beginnerish stage. Where can I go to in the evenings for a bit of cycling maybe half an hour to an hour's drive from either of the above would be great.
Any ideas on places/routes would be hugely appreciated. Also, if anyone wants to come with/teach me how to ride again, then drop me a line.

haha I'm only there monday-fri and I'll probs go back to Manchester on tuesdays anyway. What can I say, it's for work and the amount they're paying me to go there is allowing me to buy the bike in the first place. Plus, working 8-4 so I can go and do a couple of hours mountain biking in the evening is always a bonus (or something!)

If you are a beginner then Llandegla is the best place to start but its about an hour drive from Llandudno. However it is open until 9pm on Tuesday - Thursday which should give you plenty of time for a quick blast!
Once you are more confident you can check out the Marin trail and Penmachno which are in and around Betws-Y-Coed which will be much closer for you.
Drum mountain is pretty close to Bangor and is quite a good ride that's not too difficult but you will need a reasonable level of fitness.
There are loads of places to ride around North Wales - too many to list!
