  • In no particular order:

Lager: Kirin, Asahi, Tiger, Duvel, Peroni, Hoegaarden, Corona, Harbin, Bramha, Cobra

Bitter: Any local ale that's in the offing normally

    Cocktail: Caiprainha (sp?)

Spirits: G&T or vodka tonic + lime

Wine: Red: Malbec, White: Sauvignon Blanc

Crazy drinks that my mates and I happened upon:

Goldfinger = Power Shandy (half lager + smirnoff Ice) + depth charged goldschlager

Death Rattle = Hoegaarden + depth charged Absolut Mandarin (or any citrus flavour)

Actually, all of what I've said in the thread previously only constitutes to about 15% of the alcohol I consume. the other 85% being Guinness.

mmmmm you guys are making me thirsty....

coke floats are great! Also nice is....a large blue label vodka, topped up with american cream soda, then a massive dollop of vanilla ice-cream... yum

crushing ice used to be a pain, but when I bought my fridge freezer, I got a fancy one with an ice machine in it with a 'crushed' setting. perfect!

    Also liking Sailor Jerry's rum....straight...over ice....smooooooooooooooooth

Seeing as I'm still here - may as well join in

Guinness or Timothy Taylor's Landlord or Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (I'm not that fussy)

Gin and Silmline Tonic with peeled cucumber chunks and ice in a long glass

Islay malts with 1/2 as much again water.

The Kids and I love Coke Floats - really yummy

    Earl Grey Tea

Who said rootbeer I thought I was the only one.

Now I do like a proper dry gin martini with a twist. A lot. Life always look better after a martini.

For a change though I can strongly recommend a smokey martini:
as a nomal (dry) martini (i.e., vermouth used just to wet the ice then poured away, don't let it adulterate the spirit) but 2 parts vodka to 1 part laphroaig rather than 3 pts gin or vodka.

    Now we're talking...

Congratulations. I seem to have picked up my missus drink allowance while she is pregnant :D And she doesn't mind a lurid cocktail here and there - Miss Martini, or raspberry daquari anyone?

I've come to the conclusion that adding creme de cassis to just about anything is a good idea.

a straight single of a good single malt. Either Talisker, JW Black Label or at a push Glenfiddich

I have taken to JW Blue Label, but it's not exactly easy to get hold of.
