Hi Guys!
I thought you all might like to know about a new website we have launched at Halfords to help you get the family out and about cycling this summer.
www.kidscycling.co.uk offers a whole host of information for families, including tips for parents on teaching their children to ride a bike, bike safety and the best places to visit for family bike rides.
The routes form part of the 12,000-mile National Cycle Network and have lots to keep the family entertained.
They variously include refreshment stops, artworks to enhance the journey and access to attractions like parks and nature reserves.
Plus there are Q&As from Olympic cyclists including Chris Boardman and members of our own Team Halfords Bikehut.
Hope you have a great summer cycling!

Pity the advice on teaching your kid to ride doesn't follow the best practice of taking the pedals off, tho' it does recommend the use of balance bikes.
The other bit about holding on to the seat is also counterproductive: if you hold the seat the bike goes where you're pushing it, which may not be quite where the kid is steering it. Much better to push them lightly on the back, leaving them free to steer and balance/correct their balanceOrganising the Bradford Kids Saturday Bike Club at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre since 1998

What a load of palaver that video is. Just buy them a balance/runbike in the first place. They teach themselves!Commute - MASI Souville3 | Road/CX - MASI Speciale CX | Family - 80s ugly | Utility - Cargobike0
