Recommended Routes (Road / MTB) around High Wycombe
Apologies if this has been covered before but Im new to the site!
Im an unfit 40something recently affected by the economic downturn when the company I worked for went into administration. On a positive this has given me the opportunity to start cycling again while looking for a new job, and taken my excuse for not shedding the excess weight used to justify the purchase of my bikes originally.
Currently doing about 50 miles a week on road, I'm looking for routes around High Wycombe (MTB or Road) that will put a smile on my face without burning my lungs out. (Struggled to get to Stokenchurch yesterday up the drag from Piddington, far better heading back).
May consider joining a club eventually but need to get some base fitness in first, certainly not yet up to 70 mile runs at 15-17mph, or 2 hours off road.
If anybody has any suggestions they would be gratefully received.
Nick
