Orbit Romany query

hope this is the right place to post
Have an orbit romany which has been a good friend was thinking of passing it on and was trying to confirm what the frame and forks were made from is it either nivochrome or 531? there are obviously no stickers on it anyone know how to help? also how do you assertain the size ?

A bike shop will have callipers to measure diameters and the like.

If you know the year (roughly) you may be able to look it up? They seems to still be on sale...

When did you buy it?

I seem to remember that the ones from about the 2002 were built from Nivacrom.

A good indication may well be the seat stube internal diameter. 531ST tubing from this time was 27.0mm I think, whereas Nivacrom was 27.2
