I'm on Twitter as well...I believe it doesn't matter at this point. It's like Facebook or Myspace; at this point everyone has one including your parents...0

I love the distain for Twitter here. Social media is social media, blogs, forums, facebook, twitter etc etc, they are all different formats of the same thing. I tweet (or twit), have a facebook account and (sometimes) post on forums. I also talk to my friends face to face.
Twitter is similar to this forum, I know one or two people on here to say hi to if I see them in the street or on a ride, same with Twitter. Most of the people I follow I have never met, their updates just interest me, same as this forum, except I get news feed on Twitter too!
So, to all you guys and gals with 1000+ posts on here lamenting us techno geeks, IMHO we are all doing the same thing just through different sites.
Enjoy your posts!0 -

Ok, ok, I take it back. I just logged on to Twitter to see Dave Zabriskie's update "put new cleats on". Maybe it is a waste of space.... :roll:0 -

I've been following Mark Beaumont's expedition. The blogsare fine: there's a fair bit of detail, it's unusual and interesting (to me). Twitter appears to me like reading one side of a conversation. I just can't see the point.A fanatic is one who can’t change his mind and won’t change the subject - Churchill0 -
I can't take Twitter seriously. Never been on it and probably never will. It's just that whenever I hear the name, it just conjours up the description of 'Twitter' in Rogers Profanasaurus; ie 'The bit between the Tw@t and the Shi**er'
