I think the success of it may have bee talked up some what. Article in yesterdays Evening Standard says it was poorly attended.

Which include leaving a trail in your sig0 -
Saw a bunch of cyclists gathering outside Evans, London Bridge onthe way home yesterday, some of them were doing checks on their bikes. As I whisked past, I heard a larg bang, I guess as someone put just a little too much air in their tyre. Not sure if that was a Bike Tube?Do not write below this line. Office use only.0

Which will be removed in due course... otherwise folk would be confused, "who is this wonderful, witty and insightful new forumger?" they'd say. The sig adds a touch of bathos.- 2023 Vielo V+1

Back on topic, I took my bike to London for my first proper commute yesterday, I'd had a look at the Bike Tube website and nothing suited my purpose. It all seemed suited to some very specific purposes.
I just hope for all you Londoners sake that the roads were unusually grid locked yesterday, twas a somewhat slow and rubbish commute apart from Park Lane which was a joy, I claimed more scalps on Park Lane than I have in a full year of Yokelcommuting!"Impressive break"

Park Lane can be a joy, especially heading south. I took that route yesterday, no Attica sightings though.- 2023 Vielo V+1

It was, thank god, unusually busy. I'd still commute by bike, but I'd enjoy it less if it was like that every day.0

Can we have a vote on what it should be changed tooooo!Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.0 -
Yes, about that - I might end up doing it on a 15 year old bike if I don't get my back brake sorted, it stopped releasing so (on LBS advice) I've got it soaking in a sealed bag with a generous dollop of GT85.
I'm not exactly on peak form either but have still considered the option of diverting onto the long course if I'm having a really good day - bring it on."Impressive break"
