Wide, light, flat bar...

Does such a thing exist? I can't find anything over 600mm (except a humongous heavy downhill thing) and I'm wanting 660mm really, I don't need the extra height of a riser and I find them engineeringly offensive.

Besides - bar-ends on risers? Not likely!

Oh, cheap, light and strong, please...

I've been looking for weeks and I've just found the Salsa Pro Moto, just what I'm looking for

Umm, I'll leave this up in case anyone else is looking...

The stem on my Proflex is part of the front forks which is a bit of a restriction to say the least. When risers first started getting popular I fitted a pair of 680s, sawed them down to 600 and refitted my bar ends just so I could sit a little more upright.

It wasn't long before I was caught by the fashion police

You trying to bankrupt me, Ben?

Chain reaction's looks good, not so sure about the $260 superhero flying-vee thing though, maybe when I build the super-light cruiser :lol:

I should have thought of Salsa straight off - less than half the price for a lighter, wider bar, or less than a quarter for 40mm wider and just 20 grams more. Just not convinced by Ritchey at all.

Umm, which is not to appear ungrateful for the links, I am, honestly :!:

I would really like to build a super-light cruiser, now I think of it...

Kick 'em in the shins and run away - this will definitely work because knee pads are cool now, not full length shin pads...
