I have got my sticky mits on a hope pro 2 hub, I have the QR conversion a bearing spacer and bearings, but my question is this, do I still need to grease the bearings even though they are closed casing??

you can but you must take are not to damage the seals.
if new they will have grease in them."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Normally I'm pretty viciously pikey, but for the couple of quid they cost even I don't bother trying to re-grease sealed bearings!
Especially not when they last as well as Hope's.WTD:

Red X-Lite bling

The convertion kit, is that for a 10mm down to a 9mm QR?
Ive just brought a bolt through Hope Pro2 rear hub.0 -
Yeah it's the 9mm QR kit I used for the front wheel.

The Hope hub bearings (in fact all their bearings) are industrial standard sealed cartridge bearings. Fit and forget. When they start making funny noise or get play in them, replace them.

If you're fitting new bearings into an old shell, try using a little bearing fit around the outer shell (the face that mates to the Hope shell)
