Not like him and his lazy workshy commie colleagues would have the nerve to turn up and do some work... if I were on strike, I'd have the decency to picket rather than sit on my arse reading a forum.

Well, he should really have seen it coming, to be frank. Nonetheless I hope he has a nice day. I hope everyone has a nice day, every day. Apart from my boss.

I hope everyone has a nice day - except for Bob Crow.

Wish I was on strike today, the sun is shining and I'd love to be on the bike.

All the foxes that have lost their brushes hate RMT. Why? Because they are the last of the organizations with enough clout to count. For thirty years and more it has become heinous to stand up and require that skilled work be rewarded appropriately.

Over the last thirty years and more, working people have been bombarded with the idea that only the rich deserve rewards and that working people should accept what is handed down. The laws have been changed to support this and the media follows the agenda slavishly. Most unoins have been broken in this way and only a few of the old style "craft" unions have survived.

Amusingly, the destruction of workers protections and conditions have migrated to the very tools of this carnage. Journalists are losing jobs all over the country, lawyers are finding court work very unremunerative and even accountants are having a hard time. Don't rush off looking for help and assistance from the body politic, too late. All sold to hedge funds, soveriegn wealth funds and Private Finance Initiatives.

So the wicked Mr Crow and his evil henchmen are a simple sign of the times. As a working person, you can't assert a view that you deserve decent treatment and a seasonable return for your efforts without an organised howl of codemnation and personal abuse. The people who you expected to support your point of view will stay quiet (or join in the abuse) and the government is for the cheapest option.

Good luck Porgy, you are on your own.
