I was enjoying watching the tour series on ITV4 tonight, when my 10 yr old daughter made me nearly choke by asking if the Halfords teams bikes had fallen apart yet.

I seem to remember that Ed Clancy's chain snapped at Milton Keynes. And Rob Hayles' headset looked knackered, his bike couldn't keep in a straight line for the final sprint, he kept pushing Graham Briggs into the barrier. Typical Halfords bike.If they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don't have to worry about answers.0 -
Funny thing is we watched it last night and my 9 year old lad said "ohh halfords team....bet they don't make the finish" lol
I did laugh but its such a shame cos the bikes are good but i guess mud sticks :?0 -
On a side note it is great to see it on mainstream tv and in a format that make good veiwing ! Hell even the wife stoped and watched it lol0

I agree, it does make good telly, and at the moment i'm watching a lot of that while injured."If you think you can, or if you think you can't, your right" Henry Ford0

I'm not so sure, maybe it's the desperate way in which the commentary team try to whip-up excitment when there's not a great deal happening, or maybe it's the future facistic metal winged graphics in Blakes7 style, but something seems to be amiss. Let's face it, it's another crit series, nothing wrong with that, but experience shows that they usually fizzle after one season.0

Rob Hayles was straight on that time. even managed to keep tight on the hairpin

Well it's easy to do that if you've got 3 arms
