Transporting Carbon Frames

HI,
just bought a Massi carbon road bike and have heard that you can't use a strap-on bike rack to transport carbon frames?
Is this right and how do I get round this apart from buying a roof one which I don't want to do really.
Storage wise I'm assuming that it's ok to hang in my shed on a steel wall rack type thingy?

I've been lugging carbon frames around on a strap on bike rack for a while, doesn't seem to have done any damage, where did this info come from?

put some foam pipe lagging round the frame tubes and problem solved
