Hi, I have a Hewitt frame on which I have installed some retro bars, brooks saddle etc.
The groupset is Ultegra with a compact crank. It works just fine, but I am always looking at the modern stye of the crank arms and it dosen't look right on the bike. Is there a crankset that I could get that would look retro and still work with the Ultegra gears?

Sure.... Sugino XD or Alpina, or try and find a Campag Veloce CT from the pre-Ultra Torque range. ALl of those suggestions will necessitate a new bottom bracket though.

The tune cranks look delightfully retro, but again you'll need a new propriatory bottom bracket...

TA, Stronglight, White Industries,Paul Components all do chainsets as do Sugino, possibly Ritchey,Truvativ. May also depend on the bcd you want to run.

Only one answer; Campagnolo Record or Chorus from the good ol' square taper days - beautiful.
GB Cycles have very good deals on these, currently.
Some folk scoff at square taper, but it never stopped Boonen and MacEwan wiping the tarmac with the two-peice crank brigade!
Only problem is that your lowest gear option will be 39/27
