Cold still remains so had to take the train. Numpty pedestrians though everywhere walking with their eyes shut.

Not enough people in the office today to be smug infont of - seems that the majority are "working" from home. They are probably feeling even more smug at the moment :?

Not an easy journey - lots of unusual behaviour from everyone
Five instances of emergency stops on the way,

Dont feel smug - just wondering how to manage on the way home, leave late or be brave?

Where are all the extra drivers going to park their cars?
Did they not think that far ahead? Or did they think they were the only ones who thought of driving?

    idiots.

No possibility of smugness, I'm afraid. Working out in Essex, after complaining about the extra traffic in town all I got was "that's what you get for living in London..."

I hit the big red go button this morning and found that the engine was largely unresponsive....

Traffic was very busy and enough new riders to make the journey very slow.

Were you in the Parachute Regiment Slipknotjonny?

    Smugness factor 0.

    Bike is out of action.

    I took public transport.

 to the posh tw@t who "accidentally" hit me with his walking stick and refused to apologise. That's the City for you though.

Is that a euphemism? Do you need to adjust your saddle?

I slept in this morning and missed all the fun. Things seemed relatively normal through my hangover at 9.30.

Last night on the way home tho' I saw a girl struggling uphill on a truly knackered BSO. Spinning furiously but going nowhere fast, I think the only thing maintaining any sort of forward momentum was the friction of the chain as it bounced and slid over the cassette. The sound was quite horrendous. I did feel slightly guilty as I passed, but quickly realised that the only reasonable thing I could've done to help her would have been to chuck the thing in a skip.

Moderately heavy traffic around Victoria and long lines at the taxi ranks (I walked down Buckingham Palace Road 30mins ago) but nothing extraordinary.

On machinery Red buttons are for stopping, Green are for go. That explains why the Greg T legs didn't want to play ball.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Sailing past 8.62 miles of stationary traffic last night, now that was a reason to be smug :D

Managed to split a tyre Monday night and have had no time to replace it so forced to borrow my son's MTB for the last three days. I feel like shouting out "I don't usually ride this, I'm a regular cyclist" Plenty of scornful looks as I labour along. 14 miles on knobbly tyres.........

What a pain in the arse that was.

I didn't get my legs going until Putney.

    I was then magnificent.

The Kings Road was a b1tch, although a fresh pair of legs made summitting the Co de la Puntey more glorious than normal. Had the Bolan Death Bridge all to myself but resisted a two-handed salute when reaching the crest...

What possible reason can you have for that? Other than that little pothole thing just before the junction on the left that's defo going to have you sprawled all over the place.

I seem to have answered my own question

    However -

We need more showboating not restraint.
