hi guys and gals

Just started back on the bike after quite a layoff and I am looking for some good routes to ride around Rugby. Mostly evening hour or so rides but more at the weekends.

Any suggestions?

Cheers in advance

Hi i live in warwick, the national cycle route runs down a dissused railway line linking leamington spa and rugby, they say it is going to be improved but i kinda like it as it is ...very muddy and unsurfaced, its not a bad ride just the only one i have found yet as im from shropshire not been in warwickshire that long, if you look on google maps you should be able to see it as a long line of trees stretching between rugby and offchurch,

    ps
if you find any others let me know plz
  • There a great ride north of Rugby from Coton Park; using bridleways you can ride over towards Stanford Hall then back via more tracks across the radio station and finish up on the canal at Hillmorton; then you can use the canal path back to Rugby.

Also great rides using the Jurassic Way at Braunston

Can i seriously recommend you look at joining the Rugby MTB Club - extremely friendly bunch of riders, who ride on Tuesday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays - local rides suited to the pace of the riders who turn up on the day. They also run a beginers/start back rides on a Wednesday for those getting back into it.

Additionally they run trips off to other places, for example Cannock this weekend.

I ride with the club most Tuesday evenings and you will be made to feel very at home if you come join us. If you require any more info, please PM me and I can give you a point of contact etc.... Failing that, just turn up to a ride and get involved! :)

    HTH :)
