Hi there
I have, over the past few months, upgraded my Hardrock Pro 19inch frame, to decent spec components, inc drive train, wheels brakes etc
I bought some Tora U Turns, which to be honest i dont really think are adequate for the type of riding ive been doing. I ride mostly red trails with occaisional black as well as lots of rough drop off forest type riding.
I have the chance of some
Fox F120 RLC, 120mm travel, rebound/compression adjust, lock out w/ threashold adjust, 205mm alloy steerer (which is same as mine)
These are a pretty decent spec fork, but is my bike handling going to compromise over the standard 80-100mm forks ive been running.
I am pretty unclued up in bike suspension, and really would like some input.
Its either these (which are stretching my budget slightly) or some Rock Shox Tora 318 Air's or second hand Rebas/Revos
Any advice would be appreciated.
Paul

Tora 318 is a stiff, tough fork and sounds ideal for what you want. The fox is obviously an expensive unit, is lighter, but not as stiff and buying 2nd hand has its risks. I'd stick to 100mm.
Revs or Toras with a different crown and alu uppers. More choice on internals. reba is more of an XC fork.

Thanks for your email.
Budget is about £200 really as its my birthday present.
I did wonder about the 120mm being not suitable.
What do you think of these for what I want

Perfect! Is what I use. Not superlight, but tough. If want to save some weight the recon is worth a look, but Tora 318 sounds ideal.0

Excellent thanks for your help.
Daft question, it doesnt list the steerer length, but it will be more than 205mm for new forks?
