Almost Millar time! He attacked with 5km to go and had 5 seconds with 1km to go, just caught on the line. Furlan of Lampre took the win, ahead of Zberg and Boonen.

What a finish! Such a shame for Millar as he went hard and got caught 10m from the line. Boonen was going hard but he is so un-aerodynamic.

What a gutsy effort by Millar, and what a disheartening way for it to finish...so close but so far.

He just had nothing left to even get out of the saddle and try to sprint to stay clear of the closing pack.

Could have done with one of those twisty, "dangerous" run-ins that caused so many grievances during the Giro...!

Well he didn't say who would go,but he did say at the pace they were going someone would have a good from about 5Km out.

    No stage 3. Not surprised.
Cartlon Kirby is an imbecile who is ruining the race for me.
Didn't even know that LANDEAYLOZAY, whoever he is, has won the Dauphine.

Having said that. Today's stage was a real snoozefest.
