Brain dead cyclist......

On my way to work this morning I saw some of the WORST cycling I have ever seen.
I was approaching a usual pinch point and started slowing down as I could see the cars ahead where just going to merrily use the cycle lane to get round the car waiting to turn right without checking for me.....
I then see a chap on a MTB pulling out of the road ahead with a young child perched on the crossbar, not the safest of places!
He then just proceeds to go straight past the giveway line forcing the cars to stop for him and tries to make his way across the road. Meanwhile we have an un-marked police car coming the opposite direction so what does this rider try to do? Yep carry on riding, gesticulating at the police car as to why they aren't stopping for HIM!
In complete shock I yelled "Maybe next time you can stop and wait!" Only to be told to shut-up
If it wasn't for the poor innocent child being carried I'd have hoped he'd have an accident. Endangering your own life on your bike is one thing as ultimately your the one who pays the price when it all goes wrong but to ride like that with a child on board is inexcusable IMO

Saw a couple of kids on one bike today, nothing unusual in that but in this case the rider was carrying his mate on his shoulders :shock:I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0
