Easy Sussex Routes / Getting the other half involved
just got the missus a new bike so want to start her off gently.
Anyone know any senic but easy routes in the sussex area (i'm based in brighton) ?
Also any other tips for making the process as easy as possible (shes quite keen which is a good start!) but don't want to do anything to put her off??
thanks folks
Pat.

Hi Pat
Well, to break her in really, really gently, I can suggest a cycle along the Undercliff (starts off behind the Asda at Brighton Marina) - which is flat all the way and once you get past the Asda and the Marina itself, looks out to sea all the way along. It goes as far as Saltdean and it's only about 4.5km from the Marina, so 9km there and back. It's better than using the cycle paths from the Pier to Hove, as there are far less pedestrians to avoid.
That will be a really easy start for her...Ned Flanders: “You were bicycling two abreast?”
Homer Simpson: “I wish. We were bicycling to a lake.”
