What's the SCR route of choice from SW11 to the Big Pointy Towers?
Am starting a job in C Wharf soon, and having trouble thinking of how to ride there.
The main confusion is Tower Hill onwards, will just sit on the Embankment all the way to that point.
Cable Street shows on Bikely as one way - is there a path?
How do you do the bit that you'd drive via the Limehouse Link?
All suggestions grateful received. See you on the Embankment...

Hi Retch, I'm in a similar position to you except I'm heading that way from Balham. I printed off a route from the TFL website that I'm (supposed) to try out this afternoon, but I'm reconsidering
My excuse is "it looks like rain shortly"
Try this: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?client=fi ... =en&tab=wl
Got it from GoogleMaps and it's for driving but you might find it useful.0 -

The way I go from Tower Hill is to take East Smithfield onto The Highway. I continue down until just before the Limehouse Link turning right onto the pavement crossing onto Narrow Street. That brings you out at Westferry then it's all dependent on where in Canary Wharf you're working.
Good luck with the job0 -

You might be better going through Camberwell etc along to Greenwich and through the foot tunnel.
Its the more direct route and will be against the traffic.0 -

I'd disagree I've tried the Highway and Corporation Road and much prefer the Cable St Bike Path to either. It's always got bikes on it - hundreds of bikes per hour - easy.
The highway has two lanes of traffic each way, not very wide, no bike lanes and lots of lights.
Cable St has lots of turning hazards with cars going over the dedicated two lane bike lane at er-turnings but there's only two real junctions.#
I'd go for Cable St every time - and do - actually.Fixed gear for wet weather / hairy roadie for posing in the sun.
