Hey Guys,
I am looking for a workstand to use to clean and work on my bikes ... but are there any stands out there that are actually affordable ... as one of the one's I've seen is a Park Tool and it's like £200 *sigh*

It says you shouldn`t use it on a carbon bike.Smarter than the average bear.0

+1
does not matter is the seat post is carbon as that is designed to be clamped."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I got one of these:

but for £20 off ebay.
They are more stable than the clamp stands, and allow you to be able to work on both sides of the bike without changing anything. Plus they fold up really small. I think it's a cracking buy.
Just have to make sure the little frame clamp fits - oversized downtubes would be problematic.0 -
£70 to Merlin gets you a Minoura W3100, I love mine... Very solid, fantastic clamp. Bit cumbersome though, it's a big old thing. Nicer than the Park Tools stand I've used occasionally, IMO.Uncompromising extremist0

I bought one from Halfords. Yes Halfords. It cost £79

Very strong and stable, not the lightest so ideal for home use. I can't really fault it for the money. You can always peel the Bikehut sticker off!0
