Well,
they are very different bike so you need to have a good idea what you are going to do with the bike?
Will you be commuting? if so how far each way?
do you see youself doing long distances? 60 miles?
Do you have any targets for your cycling0 -
My commute 2 work will be a round trip of 14miles, mostly b roads, ill just be cycling 2 save a few notes in petrol and help shift a lil of my extra middle age spread,lol0

Hey mate
if i were you i'd go for a bike with drops if there isnt too much traffic and the roads are reasonable quality
Then there baordman bikes are ruddy good value for money...Big Ted Rides Hard...0 -
if you do go for drops, and have 1000 quid to spend i would buy a kiron scandium. top bike.i want one: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Cinel ... orus~Eurus)_2009/5360040482/0

With the Halfords scheme, you are not limited to what they stock, they can order in pretty much any bike you want. Some you can order through the store, others you have to go through their cycle to work office, so if you see something you like that they don't normally stock, don't be put off.
