Dont just buy a cheap chain. IMO its worth spending about 20-30 quid on a good one. I have the Wipperman Connex 9 speed on mine. Nickel plated. They do 10 speed though

Shimano Ultegra is another good one that will last ok, thats definately 10 speed

Not sure if there might be a compatability issue with the teeth so it might be worth checking first as I know naff all about SRam.

I am using a Wipperman 10 speed and it is as good as any I have tried. There are no compatability issues with chains other than having one narrow enough to work with the number of sprockets you have.

I have a Ultegra 10 Speed chain (it came with the bike) and seems to be good. Will probably replace with Sram or KMC when i upgrade wheels/cassette.

I used a Shimano Ultegra chain for 2200 miles before it stretched 0.75% according to the Park Chain Wear Tool. That's when you have to change it.

I replaced it with a Wipperman 10S0. Rode it for 80 miles last week, stressed it with some hill climbs, hard accelerations. No problems so far. Runs smoothly. All Wipperman chains come with a Connex master link. It can be removed easily by hand, again and again, without a chain splitter. However, you may want some Master Link Pliers to make life easier.

I thought the Ultegra chain was great btw. No complaints at all. I only went for the Wipperman because it had a quick release link whereas Shimano chains still require a chain tool. You have to push a pin out. However, their top of the range Dura Ace chain now comes with a quick release master link. Shimano have finally caught up!

I also considered a KMC chain. I've run their 8 speed chains before. But heard some stories of their narrower 10 speed chains snapping and it kinda put me off  Would hate to be sprinting when that happened! That's why I chose Wipperman.
