Anyone else there this morning?

Would of liked to of taken some pics but no chance was I getting my phone out in that 8)

On the drive there it was completely lobbing it down. My bike in the boot :) my mates on the roof.

Gets there and it is still chucking it down so we go sit in the cafe and have a couple of Latte's :D

Rain slows down a little so quick off we went.

Out of the forest and on to the top and the wind is blowing a gale and the heavy rain is back :(

Completed the black route only dropping it once on the wet rocks and completely soaked to the skin and a little bit chilly.

One question...Are you the tool that had decided to stop smack bang in the middle of one of the 2 ft wide wooden trail sections and not move off until we was right behind you ? Thanks for that :x

Isn't getting back in to some warm dry clothes one of the best feelings ever ?

Oh, we then had another Latte and some cake :D

black run is great, not done in in the wet.

i had a fella once walk up a single track wrong way as i and mates were steaming down, nearly hit him . what a idiot.

Llandegla is my fav place of them all in n wales

There was a chap on a bike with a little terrier chasing along behind him.

    Fair play !

    Was very wet though.

i have stopped on the boards, but keep 100% eye on the riders coming up, and jump off, can ride the smooth one, tho

    the bumpy one, FAIL

and first visit to the pplace had about 3 riders come down the start, hard enuff getting up it, and trying avoid riders, coming the wrong way

That was the one. The one that gets a little wobbly towards the end, as in the whole thing moves around.. :?

Yes mate. I was the same and was looking forward to the final drop especially as my eyes were bloody stinging from rain and dirty water. I find that short sharp steep stony climb a little tough after that twisty climb but its not to bad. As a whole I don't mind climbing but I had done 25 miles wedneday night and 20 odd on thursday morning as I had the free time so my legs were a little heavy haha!

I think llandegla is just about the perfect balance of climbing and descending but obviously the descending bit is always over and done with in seconds and the climbing seems to go on forever :(

Yeah, I might head up there next week at some point. Got Tuesday and Thursday off and am off the whole of the following week. Have to see what the Missus says :D

If its going to rain a little while, my trails around Shrewsbury generally get a little sticky so I need to go elsewhere

I went last week, thought I'd made a big ,mistake, windscreen wipers on full pelt weren't keeping the windscreen clear on the motorway, eased off as I got to Wrexham and was dry in Llandegla  . Sun even came out later on.

I wouldn't be too happy if someone stopped in front of me on that boardwalk, it's hard enough to keep going forward without an obstacle to go around  .
It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.

    I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
    Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result

Stay in Coed y Brenin, it's better!
As for that bumpy board walk, it killed my legs on my 2nd lap there the other week.

llandegla is only 7 miles from my house :)

and i am a noob, so its a good place to get some skills ( not many so far)

have done the red 3 times so far, and the black runs 2 times, and a fair bit of walking of it

weird thing is, i thought that walking bits is bad, almost shameful ( in a way it is)

but i come back each time, and do more, ride more and better/faster

and loving every bit of it! :D

even if at the time i hate it! LOL

Llandegla is perfect in the rain as it never gets too sticky.

Did it last week on my rigid singlespeed - my hands are still sore!

Boardwalk is a pain - too many people stop on it & if you fall it hurts - LOTS (managed to land on a tree trunk)
