DT Swiss Tubeless Kit - UST tyres only question

Hi,

I have DT EX5.1 rims and was considering a tubeless conversion on my rear wheel after one too many pinch punctures as of late. DT Swiss do a specifiv converion kit for my rim as per the following link:
http://www.dtswiss.com/Products/Accessories-(1)/Rim_Accessories/DT-Swiss-tubelesskit.aspx

It says it is for UST tyres only - does this mean other tubeless tyres will not fit properly (eg. Specialized 2bliss)? As I understood it UST meant that the tyre has a lip that fits into a slot on the rim to seal it, and I don't believe my rim has such a slot nor can I see how the kit would create one...

Thanks for the advice,

James

I had 2 of these kits recently built up on a pair of Red Dt Swiss E2200 wheelset and they worked fine with some Maxxis Minion DH maxxpro 60a compound tyres on (non ust), they were a pain in the ass to seat though and took some muscle power to get on and some high pressure to get the bead to pop on the rim correctly. All in all though they worked fine out on rides.
