Wobbly/rattly Juicy 5 lever

My right (front brake) lever has been wobbly for a while - no safety or performance issue but now it's starting to rattle - a lot.

I have to admit that I'm not sure how to tighten it - there are two hex bolts behind the lever (of different sizes - well done Avid  ) - one is for reach (I think) but not sure about the other.

Not sure how else I can tighen it - it's driving me slightly mad!

Any help appreciated as always! :D

make sure the pivot grub screw is tight.

if it is then the two top hat bear/bushes may be worn out.

Avids do that, the best way i found around it is to adjust the reach out to compensate for the slack in the lever, mine had the same problem as long as you don't mind having the lever slightly further away that will help. If not sometimes it can be the rubber part on the pushrod inside the lever not sitting properly, this can be removed easily without having to bleed anything, sram technical guides on their site are always useful!

    good luck

Cheers all - fiddled with both screws and seem to have tightened it.

    Will test ride tomorrow!

Once again, I found myself eyeing up the Formula Oro K24s... But it would set me back around £300 to change them - ouch!
