Just watching the traffic behind the interviewees outside the Houses of Parliament thing morning on the news.
It seems that people on cycles outnumber people in private cars by to thirds to one.
If we're being partisan about it at what point do we get to say some roads are mainly populated by cyclists now so they should be primarily designed for cycling and not car driving?

heh, but in all seriousness cars still, and frankly are likely even in london to out number bikes, you get the odd road/junction that you get a lot of bikes but they are still vastly outnumber on the whole.
on monday i drove kingston-chalk farm, during rush hour of all times, while you do get bikes, cars really do out number every thing else even around central.0 -

Last night at about 5.45pm Junction of London Bridge and Tooley Street I'd have said at least 2 dozen cyclists. Numbers are growing rapidly this summer.0

Tube strike next week should help push cyclists up a bit more. 8)
Unfortunately - there'll be extra cars too. :evil:0 -
The spot outside the HoP is a bit misleading because that's one of the main bike commute routes. Outside these routes, less bikes, but still loads of cars.
Brothers and sisters, our time will come. One day, the bikes will rise. You must be patient.FCN 2-4.

Like the Tee-pay ref (started by Howies I think)
Can we also have the "I don't jump red lights or ride on pavements like those plonkers, please don't judge me by your opinion of them whe you're thinking about running me over" as suggested by Bomberesque to'other day?0 -

Attica and I went round Parliament Square this morning, which isn't our usual route, so that would have bolstered numbers.0 -
