Hi,

Looking to get the best chain for the money (up to £30) for use with a Shimaon 105 front and rear mech with an SRAM RIval 12-28 cassette. Just in the process of upgrading from a 12-25 cassette so will need to make sure the chain is long enough!

Any recommendations?

Thanks

I have just up graded to a IRD chain, very impressed with the quality and smoothness. Great shifting, cost me £30.

    SRAM PC1090.
I just got one for £32, not used it yet but it gets great reviews and will no doubt be ideal for the SRAM cassette.

thanks guys. I hear KMC chains mentioned quite a lot though an SRAM chain with an SRAM cassette seems to make sense.

Would any 10 speed chain fit with my existing 105 rear mech and a 12-28 cassette?

Not campagnolo, apart from that yes, although some will work better than others no doubt.

Any 10 speed chain will work. I use KMC chains because they aren't expensive, are easy to fit and work as well as anything else. It's a service part so I can't see the point in splashing out loads of cash on it.
