Hi guys

There are limited sizes of these available at about £70. I just want to know if anyone has any and what the feedback is. Would I be missing out on much by not taking the newer version?

Also, does anyone have size TIR and if you don't mind me asking, what are your measurements, because from previous experience, I don't trust what the companies say about who their shorts should fit!

Many thanks

TIR is going to be very large, I don't know what size you are, but they will be large. That's why they're cheaper of course, limited sizes. It would be the older S2 Mille insert (nothing wrong with this pad of course, excellent quality and comfort) and not the newer S5, but I can't remember when the S5 pad was announced. 2008 I seem to recall.

S5 was launched in 2008. The S2 is a damn fine pad and as mancp states....nothing wrong with it.

i have a friend who wears TIR....he is a slim build (32 wasit, 40 chest....but is tall). He has to wear TIR purely because he is 6' 3".....if your measurements are close to these for waist and chest, it will be all about yoru height....Im 6' and wear L....he's 6'3" and needs TIR

    Hope that helps

    Thanks guys.

I'm a touch short of 6'3" and around 95 kg and the build or a rugby player so bigger than you average cyclist, which is why I think having a go at a TIR is worth it. I have a Giordana Tenax(?) in XL and after a while it becomes uncomfortable as it's too short.

Anyone want to reassure me that I should try the TIR?

    Thanks.

if TIR is one up from XL you should be OK

    I'm 6'2", 82KG, 32 waist and go for XL

Have 2 pairs of those shorts - only ones I will wear for rides >60miles.

Can't justify 140 for the new version!

Well as anyone on here knows I am a big Assos fan and I know even without wearing the Giordanas that the Assos will be more comfortable.
