Help, my wife bought me this bike for our aniversary.

I am 41 and want a bike for general road use say a few miles at the weekend with the kids and down the local forest track. The main reason for the bike is so I get off my ar*e and get fit, as well as having fun.
Should I keep the bike(whilst not hurting the wifes feelings) or immediately replace it with a better bike? Please help.....I want to get riding soon

Hi and welcome to BR!
I will cut to the chase - it is a pile of rubbish. Far better, and more suitable bikes for that kind of money. Have a read of the Beginners thread that is stickied in this forum section that will take you through what to look for and where to buy from.0
