Tomorrow sees the European Elections (and some other stuff) who are you planning on voting for.
I'm going to go for the Green party.

Since declaring myself an anarchist i have to stay true to my principles and refuse to vote.
Last time I voted I hated myself for days for the compromise I made, luckily my choice didn;t win.
I am cycling around pulling all the BNP posters down though. 8)0 -

Whatever party anyone votes for, esp. if it's a minority party protest vote, don't give it to these fascist cretins.
I'd vote Raving Monster Loony party if they had someone standing.A fanatic is one who can’t change his mind and won’t change the subject - Churchill0 -
Here's my ballot.
If they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don't have to worry about answers.0 -

This time I appear to be disenfranchised - I have had no ballot card anyway. But that's probably just as well since I haven't paid council tax since last summer.0 -
If only cyclists could vote, looks like the Greens would get in .
They're getting my vote anyway.0 -

When I was living in south London I always voted Green - even stood myself twice and beat the Lib Dems to come third
Since I've been in North Kent though I've not had a Green option - only UKIP, BNP and the main parties, of course.0 -

i became homeless last summer and ended up dossing on a friends' floor.
well, you asked :P0 -
A spoilt ballot paper or no vote helps the BNP get in because the European Parliament elections are run under proportional representation so each and every vote really does matter.
Not decided how I will vote but probably Lib Dem.0 -

Was going to mention that myself. It's important that you vote, if only to keep the BNP out.

Red Rock
Exactly.
I also guess that my vote will be worth more (slightly) if there is a lower turnout.
My MP came 8th in the expenses list, and he had had some claims turned down (his bathroom was too expensive for the John Lewis List).
http://www.tomlevittexpenses.blogspot.com/
He had overclaimed on his mortgage.
He also claimed for a wreath for rememberance day...
He is also pretty poor as a constituency MP,The case took about 15 years to be decided, and when it was decided every lecturer had to submit her own case.
I sought the help of my MP, Tom Levitt. He said he knew nothing about the situation, and referred me to the Citizens Advice Bureau. Great. Thanks, Tom, really good advice.
The only person who offered any real advice was a lady called Patsy Calton, MP for Cheadle, and I only got to know that she was "on the case" because I was sent a letter to a constituent of hers from the Industrial Tribunal in error.
Sadly, Patsy, a Liberal Democrat MP, died before she was able to give me the help that I am sure she would have given.
The claims procedure was very technical, required a lot of financial knowledge, and there was absolutely no support available for anyone attempting to make such a claim.
He currently has a majority of about 800, and is a Labour drone.
I think he won't be my MP after the next election.
I'd even consider voting conservative to get rid of him (I am a life-liong Liberal)0 -
Green in European, Tory in local (no Green candidate AFAIK).0
-
Well as I have no idea who my local candidates are or what parties they are from so I won't vote. Why should I if they can't be arsed to let themselves be known?0

I have always voted Labour. I pay my taxes (about 50 grand a year) and takes my choice (I go private). I am a champagne socialist, clearly.
I wouldn't have been able to cope with Ian Duncan-Smith as prime minister, despite the fact he was my MP at the time of his leadership of the Conservatives. There has been little to recommend the Tories since about 1987, as far as I can make out.
And yet...
Gordon Brown is not an attractive choice. Disloyal, dissembling and almost as embarrassing as having John Major as PM.
I blame Tony Blair: having one a second general election, Tony should have got rid of Gordon and his cronies with the line "I won an election in my own right - you're now either with me or against me. If the latter, then you're gone". He'd have saved us a lot of trouble if he'd done that (and not invaded Iraq, of course, but that's another matter)."There are holes in the sky,

But they're ever so small
That's why rain is thin. " Spike Milligan0 -

I've just voted. There wasn't much of a choice of a minority party protest vote. The only one with amusement potential was the Christian "Bringing the Love of Christ" Party, so pretty poor fare.
I'm a bit pissed off that the BNP had candidates up here, I hadn't really expected that. Ended up voting in the mainstream.A fanatic is one who can’t change his mind and won’t change the subject - Churchill0 -
Democracy clearly doesnt work, look what it bought to us Londoners

Yep, it's brought you someone who's prepared to go out and do something, prefer the days of Red Ken would you?
European, voting UKIP, then Conservative.
I don't think we've got any local elections in my neck of the woods.
Looking forwards to the knives coming out for Dear Gordon, as Labour comes 4th behind even UKIP.
The BNP will appear wherever there's bigotry, plenty of that in Scotland!Remember that you are an Englishman and thus have won first prize in the lottery of life.0 -

Is anything different under Boris? I havent noticed any difference so in answer to your question, I really dont care who our Mayor is. Voted in the last General Election, never in Europeans, never for London Mayor, never in Local elections.0 -
