After 'borrowing' a mates fully rigid bike for a short (nearly 8months) while have bitten the bullet at brought my own one at last.
Now the proud owner of a Saracen Element 2 bike. Yes it may be a bit basic but its one I can use for going to and from work (10miles each way) as well as light cycle path (more like rutted road) use. It wil do for the moment improving my fitness etc and giving me more confidence on using it after the accident I had last year. But once the insurance comes through then will treat myself to a FS one (had one offer but not all medical reports done.)
Wrist was playing up quite a lot due to the ridig front forks but hope that it will now be slightly better.
