3 weeks-long tour in Britain

Hello there,
I started to do cycling training approximately one year ago, and now usually do 2 to 3 hours rides 3 times a week. I've been to UK for almost 4 month, and now started thinking about taking part in some sort of days-long cycling trip. By doing this I'd like to see more interesting places in Britain, improve my spoken English and cycling skills. I was wondering if someone can recommend an cycling event in the second half of this summer, ideally 2 to 3 weeks-long? It can be any event related to cycling, which would involve travelling and meeting new people. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I don't believe that there are any such 'organised' events of this duration. However what about doing an end-to-end ? (Land's End to John O'Groats or reverse). There is a good forum for people doing this and you may be able to join an existing group. Have a look at

You would certainly do a lot of travelling and meet loads of new people !
