I went for a walk at lunch time today and found myself in Magmabooks on Clerkenwell Road. They've got an interesting selection of cycling related books and DVDs (amongst lots of design and art related publications.
One thing I happened across and bought was this magazine called The Ride Journal. Has anyone else had a copy before? They're only on issue 2 and it is a really nice thing. Lots of cool artwork and photographs, very few adverts and 156 pages of interesting articles on cycling.
Issue 1 is available free as a PDF on their website

Had a look. Thanks for the tip. Not for me.If they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don't have to worry about answers.0

I've bought both editions. Articles are hit and miss, but the mag is nicely put together - like a less pretentious Roleur.0

I've got both issues. It's a nicely put together collection of one pagers on all sorts of aspects of cycling so, almost by definition, it's a bit hit and miss - depending on what you're interested in and the quality of the wirting. Still, it's an interesting publication to dip into when you just have a couple of miinutes.0

Its not cheap, but I thought it was a worthwhile addition to available cycling literiture.

I have one of the original numbered first issues, and the recent second issue.
The one pager format seems to be dervied from the sort found in Singletrack, where someone provides some musings. Some are good, others less so, but the care and interest in the production of it is great, particularly as it is something produced in the creators' spare time.
In issue 2, I especially liked the article about the girl's heart condition. Quite touching.
For me, it sits nicely alongside Rouleur: both are nicely produced, and discuss cycling; Rouleur loves its history and racing, the Ride aims for a wider culture of cycling. Both seem to capture the zeitgeist of where cycling is at right now.
Indeed, if I didn't have an existing subscription to Singletrack, these would be the only periodic cycling publicaitons I buy.0
