Genesis Core 20 - comments welcome!

I picked up the thread on here regarding the deal through Evans Cycles for the Genesis Core 20 at £550. Went to look at one in my local shop & quite happy with what i saw although still at £729. Although the fork is reasonable it does not have lockout. Is this a significant negative on a bike with an rrp of £700 or is it a serious consideration for the money?
