From which Recon? Race, XC, SL, 351, 335, 327?
And to which Revelation 2008 model or 2009?

May not be possible to do this for example if you have 100mm Recon SL to
whatever Revelation 2009. Not many frames support 40mm of travel increasment.

They're essentially the very same fork.

The Recon has a steel steerer and just an adjustable compression dial / no external flood gate on the LH leg.

The Revelation has an alloy steerer and have an externally adjustable flood gate on the compression dial on the LH leg.

Do you need the extra function?

the recon can have an Alloy steerer

but yes it depends on which recon you have now and which Rev you are looking at and also what bike you have.

if you really just want a U turn it could well be retro fitable to your current fork.

i guess you mean the recon is a 351? so the top of the range of the recons?

what are you going to gain?

more travel that the frame will not like. a bit more weight. and a new brake mount adaptor and maybe a bigger rotor depending on what your current brakes are.

    for a lot of money.......

I think the Prophet is designed for 140mm forks.

If you go for the 20mm axle option on the Revelation, you'll probably feel the fork
stiffer, and if you have the SoloAir version then the U-turn adjuster could come handy,
but at the loss of 100-200 grams more. But if you have the U-turn version, then the only
    difference will be stiffer fork.

So as nicklouse said Not much for a lot of money.
But if you're planing of changing the wheels to some better ones then it
    might be a good upgrade.
