The £9,900 Prince......

During my lunch break today I dragged myself down to GB Cycles in sunny Croydon to part with some of my hard earned money for a set of Koolstop Salmons.
Whilst in there it would have been damnright rude to not have a look around at all the lovely bikes but this I wasn't expecting..........

An '09 Pinarrello Prince, kitted out with some very nice aero wheels and full Di2 Dura-ace for a credit crunch busting £9,900  I actually had to read the price ticket twice to be sure it wasn't the excessive exposure to the sun getting to me!!!

Now I'm all for lovely bikes and understand that this is an awesome bike but still that is a heck of a lot of money in anyone's book to me dropping on a bike! It doesn't appear to be listed on their website which is a shame but going by the other models in there it appears they are all put together and then sold and presumably this is what happens when you say "Money is no object" to the salesguy ;-)

If you're on a tight buget (or are just tight), there's a Cannondale Di2 bike for only seven and half grand.

It's funny how even the latest Cannondales look somehow old-skool.

I'd LOVE a bike like that but how would you get mudguards fitted for the daily commute?

Raceblades will fit. And I saw a rear luggage rack thingy in Tescos that clamped round the seatpost.

You'll have to venture inside to feast your eyes on it, my manager who was with me fiddled with the sti levers and adjusted the front mech ;-) quite odd hearing a motor fire......

Is the Di2 stuff wireless? I'll have to build a jammer for the hills

Nope, still wired, just that the wires don't need to physically move to drag the mechs around to change gear.

Just think how much that'd cost you in the long run. £9.9k in the shop then all your worldly goods when the OH found out how much it cost
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

    Lousy commute bike then.

Why the hell was it even mentioned in this forum. I dunno, some people need to get a grip.
