Well, my company have finally started and the LBS is part of this, which is good for me as I chuck alot of money away with them..

They are willing to put down a gary fisher or something and sell me parts, what I need is>>>

Got Mavic crossrides, and want something lighter, maybe thinking XT

I also got Magura Louise 2008 brakes, which I dont like and they are on their way out, and also Again I was thinking XT, as dont really want to mess around with Dot. fluid, and was told XT's are good.

I also want a crank as have LX, not sure what to get, maybe raceface dues xc or XT

God my bike is going to be a shrine to XT, but if they are the best for the money then so be it.

Got 1000.00 to do this, so let me know what you think.

Thanks guys

It depends how much you want to spend, if your budget is 1k i'd say:
    Handbuilt wheels
    oro k24 brakes
    xt crankset

Why do the current components need changing?

Yeh he said he would be happy to build me some wheels, he seemed very confident.

I am not sure the weight difference from the LX to XT crank.

I am not a huge fan of having to service stuff every week.

These oro brakes are good then?

I have heard horror stories from avids, disc pads very hard to remove to hopes, hit and miss performance.

Will be paying this off over the next 18 months so want to make sure, and have the first full suss at under 20lbs  ,, There might be one out there but prob costs £3000.00 plus

God I am such a weight wennie...

    Thanks again
