I've just bought one, but it is set to German!!! Anyone know how to change it to English as the manual is currently pointless, and seems it will remain that way even if I can change the watch to English..... but I really want to try it out and can't even set the time/date at the mo

    I've got the 1606L and you can change the language if you get to the reset menus. You can press the reset button on the back, and then just cycle through the options until you get to language. Of course, it might not be at all the same. Mine absolutely munches through batteries and has a habit of not just not working properly, and then giving a low battery warning 30seconds before it dies...Useful!
