VeloSolo chain tensioner - SRAM PC 1

Anyone know if the Velosolo chain tensioner or the 4Jeri one will take a SRAM PC1 chain without removing the chain guide?

    That little hoop that hangs below the jockey wheel and keeps the chain in the right place?

    surely you just feed the chain through the hole? Why on earth would it not fit??

    Well, VeloSolo themselves say it might not and I'm assuming they would know!

    According to their site you might need to remove it for a 1/8 chain. I'm asking if anyone knows whether you need to for a PC1.
