clicking noise

My bike has developed a ticking noise when accelerating out of the saddle even at the most gentlest accelerations.
Could someone help share some light on this? could it be the chain wearing out? or maybe the bottom bracket??

    Clicking noises tend to be related to parts working loose/not being tight enough. Check that your peddles are tightened enough. Grab both sides of your chainset and wiggle it about, if there's play, tighten the bracket or check the chainset is tightened. Could be the chainrings, check they are fastened tightly if they have bolts keeping them together.
