Ok so i'll say it before anyone else does 15 miles.....

But in all seriousness I have done a few 10's now at fairly Ok times for a large beginner (26 or so several times)

what specific prep will help me to do a 25?

    Hi there.

Pretty much the same training for a 25 as a 10 - you're riding right on your threshold for the whole of a 25 - in a 10 you can afford to go over the red line for the last 2 or 3 miles, but the pacing is pretty much the same.

It's even more important not to start too hard in a 25 though.

    Cheers, Andy

ps Target time should be 2.5 times your 10 time plus one minute
