Giant Defy 4

I'm a very keen mountain biker, but recently I've been looking at road bikes for the training side of things. After I had a quick go on a friend's road bike I'm convinced I want one, I knew they were quick compared to my bikes on the road but this was something else.

Anyway, I was looking at the Giant Defy 4 as a starting bike. I really don't want to go over £475 and this looks fairly decent value for money. I had a lok at the sticky at the top of this forum but the bikes around my price range were all 08 models and my lbs has none in stock. Has anyone got any experience with this bike? I have a Gaint stockist very near so I'll be able to try one out for help with sizing but is there anything else I should consider at the same time around the same price mark?? Thanks

there are loads of bikes out there that you could consider, including 2nd hand, but you could look at them for ages, listen to loads of people and be no farther forward. Literally. So just go and get it.
Its a nice bike, you can get it locally and its a nice colour. Toon Army.

    good luck
