Crank arm pedal thread broken

Hello,
I was pedaling and the right pedal just dropped through, the thread on the crank was non-existant and looked really smooth so I could'nt put the pedal back in.
Do I need to buy a new crankset or is it possible to just get a right crank arm?
Thanks

go to a proper bike shop and they should be able to fix it for you with an insert."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I took it to my LBS, and they are going to put a new front crankset on (I think they are going to put a Shimano Alivio FC-M410 on)0
