Hybrid to MTB

Hi I have a hybrid (Cannondale Bigboy Ultra 2004 model).. I want to have MTB wheels built... would I require new hubs?.. and more importantly would they fit? Cheers

Yeah that's the Bad Boy with 700cc wheels.... I was hoping to re-use the hubs to make MTB size wheels0
