Mavic Aksium rims worn, what to replace with?

I've just picked up a second hand litespeed so I'm somewhat skint now!! The front rim is near the end of it's life and I need to replace it. If possible I'd like to keep the existing spokes so I'll need a new rim of equivalent diameter. So questions, does anybody know the dimensions of the Aksium Race rim and also suggest another rim to rebuild the wheels with.

They're factory made wheels, I don't think the rims are available.

yeah, that's right. I'm looking for an alternative rim and hopefully I can keep the spokes. Alternatively it's time for a new rim and spokes.

You'll be lucky to keep the spokes I reckon, a change in rim design will likely require subtly different length spokes.

Okay, working on the premise that I may also have to change the spokes also, what 20H rims would be a good option - trying to keep the price under £40 for the rim.

Reluctant plan B, buy another wheel by the looks of it! Actually, I'll build a new wheel from scratch, then I can replace the rim when ot goes west .... Cheers for the help.

hmm, I can get a Mavic Ksyrium Equipe Rim 2008 in a 20 hole. Wonder whether or not to take a flyer and see if this rim will work....

You can buy Aksiums for £120/pr - the cost of a replacement rim would probably be more than half-that. You should be able to find some slightly used ones going cheap following the Mavic R-Sys recall - everyone got a pair of free wheels to use whilst awaiting a replacement.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
