Currnelty have a focus cay and a singlecross, i use the single cross for commuting with paniers and the focus for riding and a few triathlons. I'm lookng at reducing bike numbers and fancy a ti bike that will be light enough for road riding and triathlons but will take a rack and mudguards for year round commuting, i have seen the sabbath sunday (i htink) that lokos nice and the van nich yukon both on good offres at fatbirds with free forks and headset.

anything else out there i should be looking at.

I own a Focus Cayo, a Specialized singlecross and a Van Nicholas Yukon. The van nich is a great bike but it is a lot heavier than the Focus - frame is 1.7kg IIRC. Ok it is 105 rather than the Cayo's ultegra and it has mudguards on as well but there are still a couple of kilos in it. I guess if you have a set of commuting wheels and a racing set you could get the most out of it.

You could add to the two you already mention the Enigma Etape and the Condor Gran Fondo.

Enigma Etape - I have one, superb bike.
Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

Buy a Van Nicholas Chinook :D
Spec it with Campag groupset :D
and get a couple of sets of Campag wheels, one for winter with Stelvio tyres, and a summer pair with Ultremo's.

You can ride it whenever you want, and wherever you want. It worked for me :D

Regarding the rack, I was thinking of something along these lines myself - attach something to the seatpost, though I don't think the Campag Record seatpost would take the strain, maybe better to go for something more basic e.g. Deda Metal Stick. I could always swap the seatpost out if ever I really wanted to do a weekend trip.
